From Humble Beginnings
In 1994, Mr. Wu came to New York carrying one dream and a special set of fortune sticks — a treasured family heirloom passed down through generations. He is a master of the ancient art of Kau Chim divination: a practice honed over hundreds of years by his ancestors back in China. On the Lower East Side, Mr. Wu opened a Cafe with his name, a quiet sanctuary steeped in the elegance of Chinese tea culture and he secretively offered his customers avdises on their lottery numbers and helped many people in need to reach Prosperity. Over the years, the city changed, and so did the café. The porcelain gave way to matte black mugs, Edison bulbs lit the ceiling, and the menu welcomed playful American twists — Cappucino, Cold Brew, Jasmine-Matcha Lattes, and pastries dusted with matcha sugar. Yet one thing never changed: every cup is still brewed with the patience and care that began the legend. In every sip, tradition and modernity meet.
